The Sinking City has Released a Chrome Extension
If you ever wanted to know what the world would be like if Cthulhu and Shub-Niggurath ran for political office, The Sinking City devs Frogwares have released a new Chrome extension just for you.
The Chrome plugin replaces words like "economy," "Trump," "Hillary," "Brexit," and "Putin" from webpages with more sinister, Lovecraftian versions to make your web-surfing more prone to drive you to the depths of shrieking madness. Because everyone wants to live in a story written by H.P. Lovecraft. It's far better than the "sane" alternative, you know.
You can try out the extension yourself here.
In case you were unaware, The Sinking City is an upcoming Lovecraft-inspired investigation game being developed by Frogwares and published by Bigben Interactive. The game is set in the fictional town of Oakmont, Massachussetts – a somewhat more sensibly named stand-in for Lovecraft's Arkham and Dunwich. Oakmont is suffering from decay and rot due to unprecedented supernatural floods which slowly envelop the city and the minds of its inhabitants, which gives the game its title.
The Sinking City is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on June 27th, 2019.
