PlayStation Now Finally Available In The UK
PlayStation Now is the streaming service that Sony have been toting around for a while. Powered by 'the cloud', it allows you to play games remotely over a server. This was the way the PlayStation 4 lets you play older games on older systems. It's a neat piece of tech.
It launched in the US way back in January this year, but it has now finally made its way to the UK. The service is offering 100+ games including The Last of Us and Bioshock Infinite. You will be able to get onto the service for £13 a month, or £3 for game. Unless you really intend to be hitting older titles hard, it seems that a game by game basis might be smarter.
I'm fascinated by this technology and where it could lead to in the future, but considering that Microsoft is implementing backwards compatibility for entirely free later this year, it does seem a little.. out of place. I don't doubt this tech has a huge future though.
