Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Receives a New Trailer for The Golden Country

This week, Nintendo has released a new trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, showing off the new DLC story for Torna ~ The Golden Country. This story takes place a whole 500 years before the events of the primary game, and as such has little to do with the story as you're looking at what is essentially a prequel.

The digital version, which is only available to Expansion Pass owners, will be out on September 14th while the physical copy will be released on September 21st. Here's a description from Nintendo along with the trailer.

The year was 3564. The capital city of Coeia fell overnight, sinking beneath the clouds with the rest of the Titan. It has been the work of a single Blade. The Aegis – a man known as Malos. See where the story all began in Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country!

Guide a group of legendary warriors on a journey through the tragic history that doomed a kingdom and drove a hero down a dark path 500 years before the events of the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 game. Defend yourself from Malos and his forces using all the fury of this refined battle system, allowing you to fight as both the artificial lifeforms known as Blades and their masters, the Drivers.
