Yes, Console Players: PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Is Headed Your Way
Love it or hate it for being an H1Z1 alternative, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has quickly become one of the biggest selling games on Steam this year, and a strong candidate for "Game Of The Year" lists when we get to the end of 2017. The indie title has sold more than two million copies while still being in Early Access, and sometime later this year, will probably be set to do more beyond PC.
In an interview with Business Insider, creative director Brendan Greene confirmed that plans are in the works to port the game to console.
"We have a team working already on looking to port it to at least the Xbox [One], … We're looking at both consoles of course, but we have no time frame for both."
He also revealed that the game would be exciting Early Access within the next few months, which would be another dig at H1Z1 — the game has spent well over two years in Early Access with no sign of ever being given a full release. As for the PC version, there are two new maps on the way and rumored expansions coming for weapons and armor as the devs learn from what's working and what isn't. It would be a nice change of pace to not have 40 of your 100 players all land at the military base for once.
