Alien: Isolation Leads BAFTA Game Awards Nominations

The BAFTA Game Awards are easily my favorite awards in the entire medium. BAFTA really treat games in a high regard and it's definitely the most high-brow and prestigious ceremony I've covered in the industry.

This morning the 2015 nominations were announced, and it makes for interesting reading. Perhaps surprisingly, Alien: Isolation leads the way with six nominations being nominated in Best Game, British Game, Game Design, Game Innovation, Music and Audio Achievement awards. On the other hand, perhaps it is unsurprising. A lot of the British press really loved that game, including me.

Kevin Spacey has also been nominated in the Performance category for his work as Jeremy Irons in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. That makes Spacey the first actor to be nominated by BAFTA for their performance in Film, TV and Games.

It was also announced that Rufus Hound will host the show instead of regular Dara Ó Briain.
