Ben Affleck In Talks To Return For The Accountant Sequel
Warner Bros is putting together a sequel to the 2016 hit film, The Accountant. According to Deadline, Ben Affleck, director Gavin O'Connor and screenwriter Bill Dubuque are all in talks to return for the sequel. The report also says that the story will likely include Jon Bernthal's character who asserted himself at the end of the film.
The film stars Affleck as a math savant and high-functioning autistic who works as a forensic accountant and digs through the books of criminal organizations while being watched by law enforcement. Oh, and he's also an assassin which comes in really handy when one of his clients puts him in danger and the Treasury Department wants him.
The film did well for Warner Bros, bringing in $155 million while only costing $44 million. And with Bernthal's character seen as something that could be expanded on, the popular actor may find he has a franchise to play with on the big screen along with his Punisher role on Netflix. Affleck on the other hand is currently working on Justice League where he plays Batman.
