Daredevil Cast To Debut At NYCC

Marvel Television is planning to make a big splash in the Big Apple with next months New York Comic Con. Fans attending the show will get a chance to see the first appearance of the cast for the upcoming Netflix series Marvel's Daredevil.

On October 11th, Jeph Loeb (Marvel's Head of Television) will host a panel focusing on the new series and including show-runner Steven S. DeKnight and Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock / Daredevil).

It's appropriate to debut the cast at NYCC as the series is Marvel's Daredevil is part of a partnership between Marvel Television, Netflix and the State of New York with all of the new television series being filmed in the streets of New York City. Filming kicked off with Marvel's Daredevil and will continue to include series featuring Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Marvel's The Defenders. The alliance marks the largest film or television production project commitment in the history of New York State and will create 3,000 jobs and produce nearly 60 hours of television.

In addition, fans will get an inside look at Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and what's next for Marvel Animation, with a spotlight on Marvel's Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.

"New York City is home to Marvel and some of the greatest fans in the world, so we ensured that Marvel Television brought its biggest panels ever to this NYCC!," said Jeph Loeb, Marvel's Head of Television. "Not only will fans get to experience our incredible partnership with Netflix as we introduce the cast of Marvel's Daredevil for the first time, but they'll get to see the world premiere of a new Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode and their first look at the future of all their favorite super heroes courtesy of Marvel Animation."
