Dreamworks Trademarks Dinotrux And Various Dinotruxians
Five years ago, Dreamworks optioned the as-then-unpublished children's book Dinotrux by Chris Gall for a cool half a million dollars, showing the prehistoric ancestors of modern day industrial vehicles. A third book in the series is published next month.
Last year it was announced that it would be a TV series. But here has been little else since.
Well, Dreamworks registered trademarks for Dinotrux last year, but more recently seems to have registered individual Dinotruxians.
Craneosaur from the first book, but also Dragonflopter, Stegarbasaurus, Anklyodump and Towaconstrictor. Dreamworks also have the domain name dinotrux.com, dinotrux-towaconstrictor.com and more.
Is an announcement in the works and they are getting their prehistoric ducks in a row?
They've also registered a trademark for Agent Classified, the wolf character played by Benedict Cumberbatch in the upcoming Penguins Of Madagascar movie. Another spin-off on the way?
