Dwayne Johnson Shares a New Behind-the-Scenes Picture from the Jumanji Sequel
The best man at marketing movies is at it again. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was the surprise hit to 2017 for Sony Pictures. There wasn't a lot of buzz for the movie leading up to its December release date but it went on to get decent reviews and hit with the movie-going public in a big way. The sequel brought in over $900 million at the worldwide box office so no one was surprised when Sony announced that they were doing a sequel. Dwayne Johnson continues to do the work of entire marketing teams and posted a new behind-the-scenes image from the set of the untitled sequel.
We'll probably learn something about this movie sometime over the summer since it comes out later this year. Perhaps Sony will reveal something at their presentation at CinemaCon in April but likely not anything that will be released to the public.
Untitled Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle Sequel, directed by Jake Kasdan, stars Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Danny DeVito, Darin Ferraro, and Sal Longobardo. It will be released on December 13th, 2019.
