The Exorcist Season 2: Following The Demons To The Pacific Northwest
We're a week away from the return of the Fox series The Exorcist and the network has released two very creepy stills and a first look trailer for Season 2. The new season moves on from the busy urban area of Chicago to a more rural, tree-line space in the Pacific Northwest as Father Tomas Ortega (Alfonso Herrera) and Father Marcus Keane (Ben Daniels) move on to help another possessed soul.
The new season has added John Cho (Star Trek) and Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool) as the demon-fighting priests go on the road after the consequences of Season 1. Executive producer Jeremy Slater told fans at Comic-Con this summer: "We're going to see a foster home, a group for troubled kids. John [Cho]'s character is the patriarch, and Brianna [Hildebrand] is one of the kids in his care." And as we can see in the pictures, things are going to get nasty quick.
The Rance family is no longer featured in the series, but there are rumors of Gena Davis returning at some point in the season. The show is based on the William Peter Blatty bestselling novel and will be having a panel at the New York Comic Con on October 8th at the Javitz Center.
The Exorcist Season 2 premieres on Fox September 29th at 9 p.m.
