Marvel Studios has finally come out and made it official, Benedict Cumberbatch will be Doctor Strange in the movie directed by Scott Derrickson. Cumberbatch rose to fame on playing Sherlock Holmes in the Steven Moffat Sherlock series and then got to play Khan in Star Trek: Into Darkness. He can currently be seen in theaters playing Alan Turing, the man who broke the Enigma machine, in the Imitation Game.
"Stephen Strange's story requires an actor capable of great depth and sincerity," said Producer Kevin Feige. "In 2016, Benedict will show audiences what makes Doctor Strange such a unique and compelling character."
Doctor Strange will be in theaters November 4, 2016.
