Game Of Thrones Carice van Houten Joins Brian De Palma's Domino
They may not have had any screen time in Game of Thrones, but according to Deadline, Carice van Houten and Nicolaj Coster-Waldau will be working together in the suspense thriller, Domino from director Brian De Palma. The actor who plays Melisandra joins the cast that already included the actor who plays Jamie Lannister, and the two will play police officers who go rogue while going after the killer of their partner who was killed in the line of duty. The story goes across a terrorism ravaged Europe and they find ties to a CIA operative who is on the hunt for the cell causing all of the attacks.
The film also stars Eriq Ebouaney and was written by Petter Skavian (Kon-Tiki).
The part van Houten is taking was once associated with Christina Hendricks, the actress had this to say about the project:
I am delighted to join the cast of Domino; it's a privilege to be working with such an iconic director. And who knew that Jamie Lannister and Melisandre would meet outside Westeros?
Van Houten's credits include Paul Verhoeven's Black Book and Valkyrie. She's back for Season 7 of HBO's Game Of Thrones beginning July 16.
