One of the more persistent rumors surrounding Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was the inclusion of Simon Williams aka Wonder Man. That rumor came from a shot of a film festival on the very brief Earth scenes of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. We already confirmed that Nathan Fillion was never going to appear in the movie but Gunn took to facebook today to clarify the rumor and post one of the mock posters they made for the movie. Gunn also goes onto explain that the picture that Fillion posted on instagram was not a filmed cameo but Fillion having fun on set and that while the official tie in comic for Guardians of the Galaxy might be listed as canon as far as Gunn is concerned it isn't.
