Jimmy Kimmel And Stephen Colbert Remember The Legendary Don Rickles

Yesterday's passing of comedian Don Rickles at the age of 90 was a very sad thing. Though he was known as the Merchant of Venom, those that new him personally said he was one of the kindest and sweetest people you'd ever meet. Rickles was known for his appearances on late night television. Some of his moments with Johnny Carson are just pure classic television. So of course his passing would be noted by today's late night hosts. Stephen Colbert who only met him once, mentioned what happened… but Jimmy Kimmel who had become close with Rickles over the year dedicated his opening monologue to talking about the comedic legend, and you could feel the sadness he was dealing with.

Rickles was one of my personal favorites. In my mind I equated him with my grandfather, they had similar personalities and carried themselves the same. I lost my grandfather late last year and now the man who reminded me of him has passed. The world is a sadder place today.
