Logan Director Tweets Photo Showing An Older, Gruffer Professor X

Yesterday we got our first real look at the tone of Logan, as director James Mangold showed off the second page in the script. It set the scene as Wolverine being much older and in a pretty bad way as his powers were waining.

Well, it seems there are other Xmen who are looking a little worse for wear too. Mangold tweeted out this picture of Sir Patrick Stewart showing how he will look in the film. It sports a pretty convincing make up job, putting the Professor in a much older state.

This whole thing is looking pretty dour, eh? We haven't seen this franchise get too gruff before (or at least done well), so at least it is a new take for the series, hopefully.
