The Man In The High Castle Gets 3rd Season And A Showrunner
Amazon has announced that their dystopian thriller, Man In The High Castle, would be getting a third season. And that they will be borrowing a new showrunner from another of their original series.
About halfway through the second season, then showrunner Frank Spotnitz abruptly stepped down, leaving the show to continue on without a specific boss. For season three, Eric Overmyer will be taking over. Overmyer is an executive producer on Bosch as well as a co-creator of the HBO series Treme and a one-time showrunner on Showtime's The Affair.
Though specific numbers aren't available for streaming services, Amazon claims that season 2 of The Man In The High Castle had the best debut weekend of any of the original script series.
