Marilyn Manson Injured During Concert In New York
Marilyn Manson was injured last night during a concert in New York at the Hammerstein Ballroom. A large prop of two giant pistols fell on the musician while he was performing his cover of the Eurythmics song Sweet Dreams. He was taken from the stage on a stretcher to a local area hospital. The concert, of course, was cancelled.
Video of the incident was posted by a concert attendee. Manson was signing and began to climb the set piece when it fell over on him. Katherine Turman, a journalist who as attending the concert, tweeted that the singer sustained a leg injury. This was part of his Heaven Upside Down tour that began only three days ago. No further details on his injury or the status of the rest of the tour schedule have been released.
Besides being a musician, Manson has also done some acting. He first appeared in the 1997 David Lynch film Lost Highway. He had a small role in the film Jawbreaker and made television appearances in Californication and Eastbound and Down. He lent his voice to The Shadow on Once Upon A Time and had a recurring role on Sons of Anarchy.
