Marvel Studios 'The Eternals' May Star Former King in the North Richard Madden

While we're still waiting on some official confirmations on the possible casting for Marvel Studios upcoming Phase 4 anchor title The Eternals, it sounds like there may be another notable actor joining.

According to Variety, former King in the North and Golden Globe winner Richard Madden is in talks currently to reportedly play The Eternals character Ikaris; possessor of immortality, regeneration, strength and teleportation among other abilities.

Madden would join yet-to-be-confirmed castmates Kumail Nanjiani and Angelina Jolie.
The film will be directed by Chloe Zhao, the first woman to do so (on her own) for a Marvel Studios release. It will reportedly center around "the love story between Ikaris, a man fueled by cosmic energy, and Sersi, who relishes moving amongst humans".

We'll of course let you know what we hear about this possible casting.

Thus far, Disney and Marvel Studios have had no comment.

The Eternals is expected to begin filming sometime this summer, and is expected to be one of the 8 Marvel release dates revealed by Disney this morning.
