Mike Colter On Luke Cage, Heroes For Hire And Blaxplotation

Mike Colter, start of Marvel's Luke Cage, hit the convention stage this weekend in Los Angeles much to the audience's pleasure. When asked about his knowledge of the character prior to taking the role, Colter admitted that he was a fan of Marvel, but he grew up in a rural area and only got comics when his cousins gave them to him. So he knew of Luke Cage but had never had a chance to read him. He says he was just visiting with Finn Jones and that they will eventually do Heroes for Hire… He also speak on the Blaxplotation genre and where it fits in now.
