New Black Panther Featurette Focuses on the Dora Milaje

We have a new featurette for the upcoming Black Panther movie, and it features a new look at the badass ladies of Wakanda: the Dora Milaje.

We learn from actress Danai Gurira that the Milaje learn to fight as one as compared to a group of soldiers fighting. We've seen bits of it, but they are going to have a fight against Michael B. Jordan's Erik Killonger that looks like it's going to be amazing.

"The Dora Milaje are women who pledged their lives to the throne and to the security of the kingdom," Gurira said. "My character, Okoye, is the general of the armed forces."

We also hear from Lupita Nyong'o and how her character of Nakia goes against tradition.

"Okoye represents the old guard and tradition while my character Nakia challenges tradition," Nyong'o said. "Nakia was born to be a warrior. She was born with a warrior spirit."

A bunch of awesome-looking ladies are in this movie, and we've seen shots of the Milaje in the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War. An army of badass ladies would certainly help with the fight against Thanos.

Summary: T'Challa, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king.

Black Panther, directed Ryan Coogler, stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, and Martin Freeman. It will be released on February 16th.
