New Motion Poster for the Hellboy Reboot Teases Fire, Lots of Fire
To say that the marketing for the upcoming Hellboy reboot got off on the wrong foot would be a massive understatement. While the first images were well received the first trailer was hated by fans and non-fans alike. If Lionsgate wanted to turn this around before it got too bad they needed to change the already messy narrative about this movie.
It seems they've managed to turn it around. The latest trailer was much better than the first and they've been showing off some fun things ever since. Today, the official twitter account for the movie showed off a new motion poster and it includes fire. Lots of fire.
It's looking a little brighter for this reboot but it's still going to have to fight an uphill battle. The early numbers for Shazam!, which comes out the week before, only keep growing and without some good buzz and amazing reviews this reboot could easily get buried at the box office.
Summary: Hellboy comes to England, where he must defeat Merlin's consort and Nimue the Blood Queen. But their battle will bring about the end of the world, a fate he desperately tries to turn away.
Hellboy, directed by Neil Marshall, will star David Harbour, Milla Jovovich, Sasha Lane, Penelope Mitchell, and Ian McShane. It will be released on April 12th, 2019.
