Old Man Rick: Is AMC's The Walking Dead Planning A Time Jump?

Some potentially big-time spoilers were revealed at the Walking Dead panel at San Diego Comic Con today.

According to Bleeding Cool ace reporter Will Romine, who is live on the scene, footage of next season of The Walking Dead ended with a shot of Rick as an old man:

"The shot focuses about five seconds on a cane propped against the wall, and then a mid range shot of the bed. Finally, we focus on Rick's face, with a longer beard and grayer hair and he opens his eyes, reminiscent of when he woke up from the coma in Episode 1."

Does this mean we're getting a time jump in Season 8? Or maybe a fantasy sequence? The Walking Dead Season 8 premieres on October 22nd, so we'll find out then. Bleeding Cool will have a full report from the panel later.
