Patrick Stewart Willing To Come Out Of Recent Post-Logan X-Men Retirement For Second Time In Fox's Legion

Patrick Stewart and Dan Stevens on James Corden

It seems like it was just last week that we were saying it seems like it was just last week that Sir Patrick Stewart announced his retirement from playing Charles Xavier. Perhaps that's because it actually was just last week that we were saying that, after we learned that Stewart would be willing to come out of that retirement to play Xavier again in a Deadpool movie. In any case, for the second time in as many weeks, the legendary actor has revealed that he would consider breaking his vow to stop playing Professor X after his performance in Logan, this time for a potential role in Legion, the Fox TV show.

Stewart revealed his inability to refrain from playing Xavier on The Late Late Show with James Corden, while appearing alongside star Dan Stevens, who plays the lead in the show, who happens to be Xavier's son, David Haller. When Stevens brings up the possibility and explains the relationship between Xavier and Haller, Stewart is excited. When Stevens says he has a job offer and Corden asks if he's "in," Stewart replies: 100%.

Well, that didn't last long. Again. Though we'd be lying if we said we didn't want this to happen.
