After Paul Walker's death, every scenario for how to continue the Fast and Furious franchise, when had been in the middle of shooting its 7th installment, was bandied about. While director James Wan and his team found a way to "retire" Walker's character Brian O'Conner from the films without killing him off, they've now announced how they will do that.
The film's official Facebok have related that Walker's brothers, Caleb and Cody, will be filling in on the scenes that still need to be shot in order to finish out Brian's story:
We have resumed shooting and now welcome Paul's brothers, Caleb and Cody, into our FAST family. Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production. Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too.
And they also seem to confirm that Brian will definitely not be killed off onscreen:
It will allow the character of Brian O'Conner to live on and let us celebrate Paul in his most defining role.
Fast and Furious 7 will be released just about a year from now, on April 10th, 2015.
