Report: Disney Working on 'Honey, I Shrunk The Kids' Something with Josh Gad
It sounds like Disney is looking to reboot and/or revisit one of their live-action comedy [modern] classics with a new take on Honey, I Shrunk The Kids.
According to a report from /Film, who claim to have " three sources that Walt Disney Pictures has signed actor Josh Gad to star in a Honey, I Shrunk The Kids reboot/sequel."
If this Disney project went the continuation route, Gad could easily be a grown-up version of Nick Szalinski, son of inventor Wayne Szalinski (played by Rick Moranis) from the original 1989 film. This is actually the take /Film says is happening, so we'll be interested to see how this turns out.
This could actually be one of the titles Gad is reportedly working on with Disney, aside from an involvement with a new musical version of Hunchback of Notre Dame.
We'll let you know what we hear about this project as more information becomes available.
