Shanghai Disneyland Welcomes Gelatoni To Their Character Lineup!

Shanghai Disneyland has welcomed a new friend to their lineup: Gelatoni, Duffy's feline friend! For those of you not in the know, Gelatoni is described as a cool cat with a passion for painting. His tail acts as his brush, and he enjoys painting his friends, various adventures, and gelato ice cream (for which he is named).

In true Disney fashion, the fabulous feline has been given an adorable backstory: Gelatoni met Duffy and Mickey inside the Palazzo Canals in Italy, where he painted Duffy a beautiful work of art using the gelato Duffy had spilled.

The park has unveiled exclusive new merchandise for Gelatoni, as well as exclusive food and drinks. Guests of all ages can find something they like with the cool cat on it. Merchandise such as stuffed animals, tee shirts, bags, ice cream, cup cakes, and more are all available inside the Shanghai park.

I personally love the giant Gelatoni head purse, and the cat ear headband is great, too. I'm sure some of the merchandise will find its way into the American parks, but if you're looking to meet him (and other characters from the Duffy line), you will need to visit the international parks. Currently neither American park has a Duffy and friends meet and greet, but you can find Duffy merchandise throughout the parks.
