Stephanie Beatriz Shows How She Would Look As Marvel's America Chavez With Cosplay

Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Stephanie Beatriz has previously let us know which superhero she'd like to play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Back in May, Beatriz threw her hat into the ring for America Chavez when she tweeted:

And in case Marvel has forgotten she wants the role, Beatriz took the opportunity of Halloween, America's number one cosplay holiday, to show off exactly how she would look in the role:

And Marvel, as well as America designer Jamie McKelvie and current series artist Joe Quinones, seemed to approve:

Unfortunately, Marvel is about as quick as a glacier when it comes to focusing on women in its cinematic Universe. The first Marvel Studios movie with a female lead, and also the first one with a woman as co-director, is set to hit theaters in 2019. Before Captain Marvel, there will have been twenty Marvel movies with either male leads or male-heavy ensemble casts. And though Marvel has insisted that there are LGBTQ characters in its universe, it's yet to put anything on film that illustrates this point, even for Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok.

So the question is, will Stephanie Beatriz still be interested in playing America Chavez around 2027?
