With the return of Arrow tonight we knew things were bound to be interesting as both Oliver Queen and Roy Harper were arrested for being The Arrow. Fans know that Harper is actually Arsenal and so does Captain Quentin Lance… So here are the six important moments from the episode.

1) After Roy is arrested for being the Arrow, Oliver still wants to confess and Lance wants him to… but Laurel Lance steps in, ordering Oliver's released on behalf of the D.A.'s office. She gets Oliver out of there This is a major part of what will come later, but it also sends Lance on a crusade against Oliver that takes away just about everything.

2) Lance brings a team with a warrant to examine the basement of the club where he finds all of the Arrow gear and computers. Except the only finger prints they can find are that of Roy Harper. No evidence pointing to Oliver, John Diggle or Felicity Smoak. While this is happening the team discovers a metahuman is robbing banks in Starling City. Oliver can't go after him as the Arrow and Barry Allen is tied up with the whole Dr. Harrison Wells thing from the night before.

3) Oliver has no choice but to turn to Ray Palmer for help. Maybe he's more patient now having worked with Barry or maybe he's just at rock bottom, but Oliver deals with Ray's enthusiasm better than he would have in the past. After a bad first encounter with the metahuman because of Ray's inexprience… the second one, not with Felicity in danger, is a combination of Oliver first controlling Ray's suit and then when that device fails, he talks him through beating the bad guy. Ray has a lot to learn but he has potential.

4) After defending himself during one attack, a second one by a guard is successful and Roy is "killed". I put that in quotes because we learn soon after that it was a planet by the team to save Oliver. Roy is alive, the guard was an ARGUS agent who only made Roy appear dead. Now the Arrow is dead and Oliver Queen can go on. This was there plan all along. Roy leaves Starling City to start a new life and actor Colton Haynes leaves the series to pursue other opportunities.

5) Meanwhile over in Central City, Ray delivers the metahuman to STAR Labs and dubs him Deathbolt. Cisco Ramon comments how Ray is the only other one good at naming Metas (he helped named Bug-Eyed Bandit the night before). But Cisco also makes an important discovery… Deathbolt was in Opal City the night of the particle accelerator explosion… which makes him the first Meta not created by the STAR Lab accident.

6) Earlier in the episode Malcolm Merlyn tried to convince Oliver to take Ra's al Ghul's offer or the next thing that would happen would be the people he loved would be in danger. That came to be at the end of the episode when Ra's paid a visit to Thea Queen. To Thea's credit, she put up a fight and showed just how far her training had come… but to no avail as Ra's ran her through with a sword. Ra's told Thea that Oliver would beg to take his place and this is how, so Oliver can get access to the Lazarus Pit.

BONUS) Last episode Ray told Felicity that he lover her. She didn't say it back and got out of the room. He tried to back track a bit at one point. Felicity also almost told Oliver she loved him… and then the end of the episode, Felicity hugs Oliver's arm and you see the look on Ray's face. The days of the two of them being together are numbered.

BONUS 2) Oliver made a joke. They are very rare indeed so when they happen the should be pointed out. When Ray was out looking for the meta the first time, he was talking too much… which lead Oliver to say to Felicity: "There's a chance you two might be related." That goes with Caitlin Snow's comment on The Flash where she said of Ray and Felicity: "Oh God, there's two of them."

Looks like next week Oliver will have no choice but to accept Ra's' offer if he wants to save Thea's life. And there are still four more episodes in the season.
