Two New Trailers For Laika's The Boxtrolls
Between the two full length trailers for The Boxtrolls below (one for the US and one for the UK), we're getting a pretty clear picture of Laika's newest quirky stop-motion animated film.
It's sort of a Tarzan/The Jungle Book esque tale wherein our human protagonist must attempt to integrate back in with his own species after being raised by creatures who are different. In this case, they are trolls who live underground and wear boxes as clothing. And they spend their time foraging for garbage, which they "invent" into other things. But of course the humans don't understand, and want to destroy them, and it's up to Eggs to save everyone.
Looks as beautifully and painstakingly made and adorable as you'd expect from Laika.
