Because U Demanded It: WB Reportedly Working On Live Action Jetsons Series With Family Guy EP

Good new for fans of The Jetsons who have been clamoring for a modern live-action reboot of the show in the cynical style of Family Guy. Warner Bros is reportedly making your dreams a reality, according to a rumor from TV Line. Family Guy executive producer Gary Ganneti has been hired to executive produce the show, which will be set 100 years in the future from now, with Robert Zemeckis and Jack Rapke.

If the show is successful, it could launch an entire live action cinematic universe for the Hanna Barbera properties. A grim and gritty Flintstones v. Jetsons: Dawn Of Justice movie would probably break a cool billion at the box office. According to the rumor, the live action TV series will happen alongside the animated movie reboot, so the no-doubt rabid and limitless Jetsons demand in the marketplace today should be well served.

Of course, Warner Bros has not confirmed these plans, so it has to be considered in the rumor stage for now, though now that the idea is out there, it's pretty much Warners' moral obligation to make the series happen. You're welcome.
