All we know is that NFL veteran & analyst Shannon Sharpe needs to make sure to add actor/comedian Katt Williams to his Christmas card list moving forward for all of the attention Williams has brought to Sharpe's Club Shay Shay podcast. Dropping on January 3rd, the episode is still being talked about – even serving as the focus for a filmed sketch during this weekend's Saturday Night Live. And it's easy to understand why – over the course of nearly three hours, Williams has something to say about a whole lot of familiar faces – including Kevin Hart, Cedric the Entertainer, Kanye West, Harvey Weinstein, Steve Harvey, Kim Kardashian, Rickey Smiley, Ice Cube, Chris Tucker, P. Diddy, Wanda Smith, Faizon Love, Michael Blackson, Jonathan Majors, Joe Rogan, Ludacris, Martin Lawrence, Taraji P. Henson, and others. And to put it kindly, a lot of it (though not all of it) really wasn't too nice – with Williams not holding back when it came to dishing his personal thoughts & feelings on each of them. Well, it appears that actor/comedian Dave Chappelle isn't a big fan of Williams taking aim at some of his fellow comedians and friends, addressing the matter during a weekend show at the San Jose Improv.
"What part of the game is this? He ethered n****s. He didn't say anything about any of these white boys. None of these white boys function like that. Katt is one of the best painters in the game. So why are you drawing ugly pictures of us? Stop. Hurt people hurt people, but I am a hurt person that never hurt people, and he does it all the time," Chappelle shared from the stage, as reported on social media and by Deadline Hollywood. As for Chappelle's line, "I am a hurt person that never hurt people," there are some in the LGBTQ community who might take issue with that statement. In addition, there is some irony in someone who has blended reality into his stage act to take shots at certain groups taking issues with another comedian doing the same – knowing who the targets are personally shouldn't matter.
After imitating Williams ("'F**k this one, and f**k that one, and f**k this one'"), Chappelle added that Williams doesn't appear to want to take the blame or any responsibility for his own actions. "But, n***a, I didn't hear anything that you did wrong. He didn't do nothin' wrong? Katt didn't do nothin' wrong?… Katt was talking about s**t that n****s did to other n****s, but not about anything that n****s did to him," he said. "If I told my story, it would break your heart… I lost everything and never, ever told on anybody, and this n***a's the arbiter of truth. Katt, listen, I f**k with Katt hard, but… DeRay, tell me, what part of the game f**ks up another n***a's paper? What part of the game is about telling on another n***a?"
