Flash Season 4: Not Everyone From Barry Allen's Past Likes Him

We have a clip from tonight's new episode of The Flash. In the clip we are introduced to one of two new characters from the comics that we meet in the episode. If you don't want to know who that is… don't read past the image below…. that's when the spoilers start.

Flash

Tonight's episode, Elongated Journey Into Night, introduces us to the character of Ralph Dibney (Hartley Sawyer), who in the comics is also known as the Elongated Man… hence the noirish title. The character was created by John Broome and Carmine Infantino at the request of editor Julius Schwartz to come up with a new supporting character for the Flash series in 1960. Dibney is known for being one of the top detectives in the DCU, up in the rarefied air of the Dark Knight himself. In the clip below we see that Dibney was an ex-cop that was known for being dirty and it looks like Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) was part of what brought him down. Barry and Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) got to see Dibney suspecting he was on the bus when the Dark Matter event occurred. Dibney obviously doesn't like Barry and had a classic, noir detective sarcasm. He brings a very different attitude to the series which should be a lot of fun as Dibney is slated to be a recurring character.

The Flash airs tonight at 8 PM on the CW.
