With only hours to go until actor/comedian Jo Koy takes the stage for the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards – now at its new home on CBS – we thought now might be a pretty good time to pass along what you need to know about the event. We're talking pre-show & awards ceremony times, where you can watch it, some backstory on our host, a rundown of tonight's presenters, an overview of the nominees for film & television – pretty much everything that you would need to be prepared for the big night. And in-between, we've included some video previews to paint a better picture of what's in store. 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards Viewers' Guide

SO WHEN DOES THE SHOW START? The Golden Globe Awards begin tonight at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT.

SO IS THERE A PRE-SHOW? Yup, beginning at 6:30 pm ET/3:30 pm PT over on Paramount+, Variety's Marc Malkin & Angelique Jackson and Entertainment Tonight correspondent Rachel Smith will offer pre-show looks & updates.

SO HOW CAN I WATCH? The show will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ (as well as online for those who subscribe to cable). In addition, viewers can access the awards show via Fubo, Hulu+LiveTV, digital HDTV antenna, and other options (with details & details offered).

SO WHO'S NOMINATED FOR FILM AND TELEVISION? Here's a look at the key art graphics that were released, offering a rundown of this year's nominees for both film & television:

SO WHO'S HOSTING? Jo Koy is widely recognized as a leading stand-up comedian, actor, and author. His uniquely relatable comedy pulls inspiration from his colorful family and has reached audiences of all kinds and resulted in sold-out arenas around the world. His recent "Funny Is Funny World Tour" broke sales records at some of the most prestigious venues around the world. Previously, he released five highly-rated stand-up specials on Comedy Central and Netflix, including his most recent Netflix special, "Live from the Los Angeles Forum."

Koy starred in the Universal Picture film Easter Sunday, based on his own experiences and stand-up comedy. He has also appeared in Disney's "Haunted Mansion" and voiced the character Bendo in Netflix's animated film Monkey King. He'll next be voicing the character of the Monkey King in the animated feature film, Tiger's Apprentice premiering on Paramount+ February 2, 2024. Additionally, Koy released his first autobiography, Mixed Plate: Chronicles of an All-American Combo, in 2021 with Harper Collins Publishers to rave reviews.

Presenters include Amanda Seyfried, America Ferrera, Andra Day, Angela Bassett, Annette Bening, Ben Affleck, Daniel Kaluuya, Don Cheadle, Dua Lipa, Elizabeth Banks, Florence Pugh, Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias, Gabriel Macht, George Lopez, Hailee Steinfeld, Hunter Schafer, Issa Rae, Jared Leto, Jodie Foster, Jon Batiste, Jonathan Bailey, Julia Garner, Justin Hartley, Kate Beckinsale, Keri Russell, Kevin Costner, Mark Hamill, Matt Damon, Michelle Yeoh, Naomi Watts, Oprah Winfrey, Orlando Bloom, Patrick J. Adams, Ray Romano, Rose McIver, Shameik Moore, Simu Liu, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Will Ferrell (with additional names being added; lineup subject to change).

SO WHO'S PUTTING THIS ALL TOGETHER? Multi-Emmy Award-winning producing duo Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner of White Cherry Entertainment (WCE) will serve as executive-producing showrunners, with Weiss also set to direct. Barry Adelman and Helen Hoehne are also executive producers. Dick Clark Productions will plan, host and produce the annual awards ceremony.
