Peter Sanderson Gets Added To Loki Season 2 Episode 3 Creator Credits
Peter Sanderson & Rich Yanizeski created Victor Timely for Avengers Annual #21 in 1992. And now they get a "special thanks" in Loki Season 2.
The following comic book creators receive "Special Thanks" deep into the credits for Loki Season Two Episode Three that dropped this morning on Disney+. Episode Two had the same credits as Episode One, but for Episode Three, there are three notable changes. They have added Peter Sanderson, Don Heck and Rich Yanizeski, and about time.
There are potential spoilers for Loki in the following article because we name characters that turn up in the TV show. This article doesn't explain how certain characters appear or their context, but proceed at your own risk.
Peter Sanderson and Rich Yanizeski created Victor Timely for Avengers Annual #21 in 1992. As a divergent version of the time traveller Nathaniel Richards, a descendant of the scientist of the same name, whose alternate selves include Pharaoh Rama-Tut, Scarlet Centurion, Kang the Conqueror, and Iron Lad / Kid Immortus. He established a small, quiet town called Timely, Wisconsin in 1901 to serve as a 20th-century base for his future self, becoming an industrial opponent of Henry Ford and Thomas Edison. And the basis for Victor Timely in Chicago in 1893 in Loki – and the end of Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania.
We are especially pleased that Peter Sanderson gets a credit, someone who, as Marvel's first scholar and historian provided much for Marvel today in the form of the Official Handbooks, which have driven the MCU development process, but for which he has received scant credit or acknowledgement.
