The Boys Fans Get VNN Vibes From Jonathan Majors/ABC Interview Promo

The Boys fans are getting some Vought/VNN vibes from the promo that ABC released for Jonathan Majors' ABC News interview for GMA.

In case you missed the news on Thursday, ABC announced that ex-MCU star Jonathan Majors is sitting down with ABC News Live "Prime" anchor Linsey Davis for an exclusive one-on-one interview that's set to air this Monday on Good Morning America (and other places following that) – less than a month after Majors was found guilty of the assault and harassment of his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. With Majors having been fired by Disney-owned Marvel Studios not long after the court decision came down, it was surprising to hear that Majors' legal team would opt to go with Disney-owned ABC for a first interview. But the topic that's caught the attention of social media today has to do with the promo that was released for the interview – and how it's reminding them a lot of Prime Video & Showrunner/EP Eric Kripke's The Boys.

Just to be clear? This isn't a reflection upon Davis at all – especially since we haven't seen the interview yet – but the promo itself really does have an air of "Vought News Network (VNN)" to it. There's something about it that just screams melodramatic – and I think it has a lot to do with the combination of the voiceover and the screen-crushing size of the graphics (and the oddly brief snippets from the interview itself don't help). I was almost expecting to see Matthew Edison's Cameron Coleman at the end, thanking Davis for the interview before going off on a tirade about something. Here's a look at the promo for Monday's interview – followed by a look at Coleman making a solemn promise to Homelander (Antony Starr) to protect his "good name" heading into the fourth season:
