An Eight-Strong Female Superhero Comic From Marvel?

As part of the Stephanie Brown Kickstarter April Fool on this website, I (rather giving it away I thought) stated that Marvel were creating their own social network funding model called Mickstarter to fund books with fan support but hard to publish in a conservatively buying market.

This isn't that. But it could be one day.

An Eight-Strong Female Superhero Comic From Marvel?

At the end of the twelve issue series The Fearless, Marvel leave the door open for a possible eight girl squad of super heroines being led by Valkyrie. People wondered if that might be going anywhere.

Writer Cullen Bunn, replied to comments;

Glad you folks liked the ending. Those last couple of pages were what I was most excited about. And, yeah, while there were some specific characters shown as possibilities, it was never my intention that they would be the ONLY possibilities for a line-up.

At the end of the day, I'd love to write something like that. It's something that's been in my head for a while and there's definitely a longer story I'd like to tell. But if it's something that readers want to see, they need to let Marvel know.

Mickstarter awaits! Just email mheroes@marvel.com. And what's more, it's free…
