The James Robinson And Leonard Kirk Fantastic Four Reboot Announcement That Wasn't… Yet
Eyebrows were raised this afternoon when IGN reported the following (which has since been removed):
…now we know who's taking over long term: writerJames Robinson and artist Leonard Kirk.
Not only that, but Marvel announced at the Inhumanity panel today that Fantastic Four would be relaunching with a new #1 in February to celebrate the new creative direction.
The story starts at the end, with the demise of the Fantastic Four, and the rest of the series will unravel the mystery of how it happened.
A little puzzling, since while the end of Fantastic Four and FF in January was announced at the Inhumanity panel, no such Robinson/Kirk announcement was made.
Was this the result of a pre-arranged interview or announcement with IGN where someone got their signals crossed? Did the Robinson/Kirk announcement get moved to another panel at the last minute? We'll know tomorrow for sure by tomorrow, I imagine, if not sooner.
Of course, Robinson did say this a few days ago:
I just checked my in-box and had my mind blown by 1st 7 pages of layouts for yet to be revealed Marvel project. You're in for a treat.

@PFoz — So it has it's own moment. I'd be surprised if it isn't announced before the end of the month.
