Neal Adams Is 'Definitely' Not Writing New Deadman For DC – Fan Expo Dallas

Brandon Wainerdi writes, video by Jason Kauzlarich,

Bleeding Cool took five minutes to sit down with comic book "royalty" Neal Adams to learn about the upcoming slate of Adams-verse material for DC and beyond. When we introduced ourselves as BleedingCool.com, he feigned ignorance but, as you can tell in the video, we are glad for his pageviews all the same.

It sounds like DC is still giving him ample room to flesh out his unique takes on the DC Universe, as long as he retreads the old ground that is guaranteed to make them serious bank (as with his Variant cover collection, touched on in the interview, and the upcoming Superman series.)

Some key highlights of our chat included:

  • A tease of the very last panel of his "The Coming of the Superman" mini-series

His thoughts on "Batman: Odyssey" and it's critical reception

Mr. Adams' "insistence" that he won't be writing any Deadman for DC anytime soon

Neal Adams and DC Rebirth

Superman vs. Harley Quinn … the new Hot Topic take on the Mohammed Ali bout.

And more! (Like when this interviewer completely forgot that "Coming of the Superman" was still on-going. Despite that blunder, Mr. Adams was as much of a pleasure as he comes across in podcasts and print interviews. Here's to hoping his reign never ends.
