20th Century Fox Announces 'Bob's Burgers' Feature Film For 2020
Fox's animated series Bob's Burgers is going to be making the jump to the big screen. Deadline is reporting that 20th Century Fox has set July 17th, 2020 for a Bob's Burgers feature film as the series comes off of its second Emmy win for Outstanding Animated Series. The first time was in 2014.
The series, which debuted midseason 2011, follows the lives of the Belcher family along with their friends and rivals. Bob runs a hamburger restaurant with his optimistic wife, Linda, and their three kids: Tina, Gene and Louise. The characters are voiced by H. Jon Benjamin John Roberts, Dan Mintz, Eugene Mirman, and Kristen Schaal.
Show creator Loren Bouchard said of the project:
"We're thrilled to be invited to bring Bob's Burgers to the big screen. We know the movie has to scratch every itch the fans of the show have ever had, but it also has to work for all the good people who've never seen the show. We also know it has to fill every inch of the screen with the colors and the sounds and the ever so slightly greasy texture of the world of Bob's – but most of all it has to take our characters on an epic adventure. In other words, it has to be the best movie ever made. But no pressure, right?!"
You can also follow the Belchers' exploits in the pages of their comic series from Dynamite Entertainment, done by the series creators.
