Fear The Walking Dead: Jenna Elfman Joins Cast, Teases Crossover

AMC's Fear The Walking Dead saw both its ratings and social media "buzz-worthiness" crawl back from the dead over the course of series' third season; but lost lost some people along the way, both on camera and behind the scenes.  In preparation for Season 4, AMC is looking to replenish the show's ranks in a very major way with news that actress Jenna Elfman (Dharma and Greg, Accidentally on Purpose) will be joining the cast as a series regular.

Coming a day after it was announced that The Gifted's Garret Dillahunt was also tapped to join the cast next season, AMC offered no other specific information on her role. Fans of both The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead should find very interesting is the manner in which Elfman personally shared the news. Taking to Instagram, the actress wrote, "So honored to be part of this" along with an image that not-too-subtly teased the recently announced crossover between the two shows:

Along with the additions of Elfman and Dillahunt, Robert Kirkman's prequel series to The Walking Dead will see showrunner Dave Erickson stepped down from his role; and Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg assuming showrunner responsibilities with Season 4. The Walking Dead's showrunner Scott M. Gimple will also be joining the series as executive producer.
