#AEW Announces Double or Nothing in Las Vegas for May

Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes took the stage at All Elite Wrestling's big rally in Jacksonville, Florida Tuesday night to lay out some of the core philosophies of the new promotion. According to Rhodes, wrestlers will be very well paid in AEW. Additionally, wins and losses will matter more than they ever have before, and finally, the promotion won't try to control who the fans cheer and boo, an obvious shot at WWE. Rhodes then brought his fellow co-founders and EVPs, the Young Bucks, onstage.

"We don't care about race or gender or sex or religion," said Matt Jackson. "If you're an elite athelete, we want you. Our doors are open to all. Which brings me to a really personal thing that I'd like to bring up."

Jackson then announced a partnership with Chinese wrestling promotion OWE (Oriental Wrestling Entertainment).

"I have some friends in China," Jackson said. "These guys are doing some of the most gifted wrestling moves I've seen in my life. I don't know if you've heard of them, but soon you will. They're called OWE."

After a brief faux-argument over which of the three vice presidents would get to make the next big announcement, they agreed to count down and do it together.

"We're running May 25th in Las Vegas Nevada at the MGM Grand Garden Arena," they said, officially announcing the follow-up to 2018's All In.
