Comic Stores Told to Destroy All Copies of Next Week's "Superman" #14 and "Supergirl" #33

Oops… DC Comics has told retailers that 'due to advance production schedules', the covers of both Supergirl #33 and Superman #14 'ultimately did not reflect the contents of the stories.' And that 'replacement copies with new covers will be provided at no cost to retailers.'

Hang on, what's that? If the contents of a cover don't reflect the insides, DC Comics will replace it for free? That's a new policy. Apparently, it's all down to whether or not they have Year Of The Villain: Dark Gifts content or not, as the covers suggest. And, it seems, they do not.

Retailers are asked to destroy all copies of Superman #14 and Supergirl #33 when they arrive next week. Except of course, they won't, no one thinks they will, they will try and flip them on eBay for five times as much.

But also with the Legion addition…

So, which stores are going to obey orders and destroy all copies? Will it be pottymouth Batman all over again?
