Golden Globes Film Nominations: 'Marriage Story','The Irishman', 'Joker' Lead the Way

Golden Globe nominations were just revealed. The big winner was Netflix, scoring the two films with the most nominations. Marriage Story leads all films with six nominations, one more than Martin Scorsese's The Irishman. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood also scored five nominations, while Joker scored four nominations, including Best Picture-Drama, Best Actor for Joaquin Phoenix, Best Score, and Best Director for Todd Phillips. Surprises include a complete shut-out for Uncut Gems, The Two Popes getting a Best Picture nod, Little Women NOT being nominated in the Best Drama category, and Beanie Feldstein snagging a Best Actress in a Comedy Musical nom for the excellent Booksmart. Also great to see Knives Out grab so many nominations, good for you Rian Johnson. In maybe the funniest nomination of the year, The Lion King is up for Best Picture, only in the Animated Feature category.
