"Hunters": Evil Hides in Plain Sight in Amazon Prime, Jordan Peele Nazi-Hunting Series Teasers
Six months after a major casting announcement and month after Amazon Prime and award-winning writer/director Jordan Peele (Get Out) shared the first official trailer for their vengeance-driven Nazi-hunting series Hunters (previously referred to as The Hunt), viewers are getting a better look at our "hunters". Considering their "line of work" and the world they inhabit, you can never be too safe – because somtimes, the biggest threats hide in plain sight.
Based on an original idea but also drawing on real historical events, Hunters follows a diverse band of Nazi Hunters living in 1977 New York City. Known as "The Hunters," the group discovered that hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S. The eclectic team of Hunters will set out on a bloody quest to bring the Nazis to justice and thwart their new genocidal plans.
Amazon Prime Video's Hunters is a 10-episode limited series that stars Logan Lerman as Jonah Heidelbaum, Al Pacino as Meyer Offerman, Kate Mulvany as Sister Harriet, Tiffany Boone as Roxy Jones, Carol Kane as Mindy Markowitz, Saul Rubinek as Murray Markowitz, Josh Radnor as Lonny Flash, Louis Ozawa Changchien as Joe Torrance, Jerrika Hinton as Millie Malone, Greg Austin as Travis Leich, Dylan Baker as Biff Simpson, and Lena Olin as The Colonel.
Lerman (Jack & Bobby) plays Jonah Heidelbaum, who when his grandmother is slain by a mysterious intruder in their apartment, sets out to track the culprit — only to find himself swept up in the mysterious organization known as "The Hunters", a group of justice-seeking individuals dedicated to rooting out the Nazi murderers living in the U.S. under assumed identities.
Pacino will play the Nazi hunter who mentors him – marking the actor's first role as a series regular for television or streaming.
Hinton's (Here and Now) Millie Malone is a dynamic and gutsy FBI agent who finds herself marginalized because of her race and gender. The fact that she's so assertive hasn't won her any admirers among the FBI's old boy hierarchy
Bermudez is set to play Maria, a nurse, and Baker portrays Juanita Kreps, the Secretary of Commerce. Mostel is New York City's Rabbi Stecker, while Jackson plays disgraced journalist Danny Rohr and Davies is bodyguard Tobias.
Hunters is produced by Peele's Monkeypaw Productions and Sonar Entertainment, and created by series writer-executive producer-co-showrunner David Weil (Moonfall). Nikki Toscano also serves as executive producer and co-showrunner. Peele, Sonar Entertainment's Tom Lesinski (Mr. Mercedes) and Jenna Santoianni (Mr. Mercedes); and Monkeypaw Productions' Win Rosenfeld (Dark Net) also executive produce.
