3 Reasons You Should Read The Feathers HC Edition From Archaia
This week brings the release of Jorge Corona's epic tale Feathers in a beautifully put together hardcover from Archaia. I remember the first time I sat down to read the first issue of this series. I remember feeling like there was magic in the pages, and I don't often feel that way when I read things. It takes a lot. With that said, I'd like to present you with three reasons you should pick up a copy of the Feathers HC this week.
One: It's a heartwarming origin story, about a boy covered in feathers named Poe. We get to see him from the beginning. There's a Pinnocchio/Geppetto feel to his relationship with his father, which enhances the already classic fairytale feel that fills the town, characters, and story in general.
Two: It's an incredibly adventurous story. I read each single issue as it released and found myself tortured by the fact that I had to wait another month to see what happened next. Being able to read all of the adventures together in one book will prove to be a seamless heart-pounding experience. I assure you.
Three: The art is breathtaking. Jorge Corona transports you to a world that is beautifully constructed and well thought out. From facial expressions, to the details on the buildings in the background, I promise you that you won't be able to stop looking at this book.
