April's Buffy: Every Generation #1 to Allegedly Introduce Most Important New Buffy Character Ever

Explosive publisher BOOM! Studios is making a pretty bold claim about an upcoming one-shot tieing into their Buffy the Vampire Slayer line of comics. According to a press release from the publisher, Buffy: Every Generation #1 will feature the first appearance of "the most important new Buffy character ever." The comic itself will feature three stories from creative teams including Nilah Magruder, Morgan Beem, Lauren Garcia, Caitlin Yarsky, Lauren Knight, and Alex Guimarães, and one of those will apparently contain this character that will rock the Buffy universe to its foundations, leaving nothing ever the same again.

Discover the secret origins of some of the most important Slayers in history and the first appearance of a new character with a familiar face who will change the way you look at Buffy Summers and everything about her world forever! This is the Buffy comic that everyone will be talking about and the most important new character in over twenty years!

BOOM! Executive Editor Jeanine Schaefer endorses this claim:

Just when you think you know everything about the Chosen One, a brand new character shows up to turn the whole universe on its head. Buffy's been through the Hellmouth, fought alongside Angel, been replaced by Kendra, and now has to deal with the backlash in Ring of Fire but all of that is nothing compared to what comes next for the Slayer and everyone else in the Buffyverse. Hold onto your seats because this special will… BLOW. YOUR. MIND!

Take precautions as necessary to protect your mind from being blown, obviously. Buffy: Every Generation #1 hits stores on April 8th.

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
