Art Preview For Elric: The Dreaming City

My first introduction to Michael Moorcok's character of Elric came when Marvel published Elric the Dreaming City as the second Marvel Graphic Novel back in 1982… the first having been The Death of Captain Marvel. The book was stunning, featuring the art of P. Craig Russell and the writing of Roy Thomas. Titan Comics is now publishing the Michael Moorcock Library and the Thomas / Russell adaptation of the Dreaming City is the third volume and is due out in June.

Following his triumphant return to the city of Imrryr, Elric: The Dreaming City chronicles the Eternal Champion's most epic adventure to date as he attempts to reclaim the Ruby Throne, rescue his beloved, Cymoril, and reconcile with his damaged psyche.

Here we have the cover and two interior pages from the release… and the art is just as stunning as it looked in 1982.
