Batman Dominates Reorders – But It Has Some Friends
Remember the rules of the Advance Reorder chart that monitors how retailers are rushing about to increase their orders before comics go on sale – non-first prints are always over represented as this is the only way many of them can be ordered. But we can see Batman #12, Batman And Robin #12 and Batman Knightfall responding to interest in the new movie, while Gambit, Spider-Men and Green Lantern also make very solid appearances and Scott Pilgrim Color HC benefits from publicity received during the San Diego Comic Con. More collections make an appearance this week than usual, indicating some expensive summer spending.
As for the post-shipping reorder chart, retailers hoover up all the remaining Walking Dead #100 chromium editions, with Walking Dead collections continuing to take up much of the chart, even as Batman books start to take as many spots as they can. And Batman Earth One seems to have been a hit! A surprise appearance for the Zombie Kid Diaries as well…
