Both DC And Marvel Top For Marketshare In January – But DC Takes All The Top Ten

Both DC And Marvel Top For Marketshare In January – But DC Takes All The Top TenThe Diamond Comic Distributor statistics for January will be released soon, and you can expect some kind of update then.

But Bleeding Cool can tell you two things now. That DC Comics have taken the top unit marketshare for January, the number of actual comics sold. While Marvel have taken the top dollar marketshare, for the revenue raised.

So both DC and Marvel are top in January. Everybody wins!

However, also of note, I'm told by numerous sources now that in January, DC Comics have a lock on the Top Ten sold comics of the month.

Despite the launch of Scarlet Spider from Marvel, the 300th issue of Wolverine and the X-Men/Avengers lead ins, every book in the Diamond Top Ten for units sold, is a DC comic book.
