Ch-Ch-Changes Special: What Was Up With Teen Titans #13
Teen Titans #13 was an interesting one.
It was solicited by Wil Pfeifer and Ricken (cover as well).
Then we were told it would be a story plotted by Scott Lobdell, written by Will Pfeifer and illustrated by Ricken & Trevor Scott.
But on arrival it was credited as written by Will Pfeifer (no Lobdell) and drawn by Ricken, Paolo Pantalena, Noel Rodriguez, Trevor Scott, Johnny Desjardins with breakdowns by Ricken and Scott McDaniel with a more meat-and-potatoes cover by Ethan Van Sciver
Some stuff clearly went down with that issue. When a book that started with two credits ends up with eight, it feels that a lot went on behind the scenes.
And given the presence of Alpha Centurion at the end straight from Lobdell's Doomed series, his character Bunker opening the issue, not to mention the rapid wrapping up of the Manchester Black, Raven with a dark side again, and Despero swapped out for Chimer, it looks more like Scott Lobdell did write some of the plot… maybe he thought nine credits was just too many for the comic.
I wonder what went down?
